There is actually a Wikipedia recognized food holiday known as Spicy Guacamole Day. (You’ll also find it on foodie websites – so, it all depends on which source you want to go with. But, they all say the same.) And, we support Spicy Guacamole Day whole-heartedly.
Years ago, we developed this recipe for Mad Dog Green Amigo Killer Guacamole. As you can imagine, we’re pleased with the spiciness of this delicious condiment. Perhaps, National Spicy Guacamole Day actually came about after someone had a taste of this recipe. (Or maybe not. We know we weren’t the first to develop a brilliant spicy guacamole recipe.)
1 tomato chopped
1 small red onion chopped
3 ripe Avocados
8 tbs. Cilantro chopped
6 cloves fresh garlic
3 tbs. fresh lime juice
1 tsp. coarse Kosher salt
1 bottle Mad Dog Green Amigo or to taste.
Add Mad Cat instead for more heat.
Slice Avocados in half, discard the pit, Use spoon to scoop out Avocado, mash with fork into small bite size. Smash garlic with salt and make into a paste. Mix all ingredients in bowl. Serve with sliced lime, cilantro leaves with tortilla chips.
